Employabili-tea

On Wednesday 27th April 2022, we continued our series of young onset dementia webinars with Employabili-tea. This webinar focused on working after a diagnosis of young onset dementia.

Our panelists for the webinar were Dr Louise Ritchie and Martin Robertson.

Louise is a Reader in dementia research in the Alzheimer Scotland Centre for Policy and Practice at University of West Scotland. Her research includes understanding the experiences of people who are diagnosed while still in employment and exploring the potential for continued employment post-diagnosis.

Martin Robertson was diagnosed with Posterior Cortical Atrophy at the age of 58. Following his diagnosis, Martin wrote a booklet titled ‘Work after a diagnosis of dementia,’ to help people make an informed choice about whether or not to stay on in employment.
