Continui-tea and Stabili-tea

On Wednesday 17th March 2021, we continued our series of young onset dementia webinars with Continui-tea and Stabili-tea – the importance of supporting families affected by young onset dementia.

Jules Knight, Consultant Admiral Nurse, Dementia UK and Lizzie Harrison, Admiral Nurse for Younger People with Dementia Services at Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust were in conversation with Hannah Wrankmore who discussed how her life has changed over the past six years since her husband was diagnosed with young onset dementia.

Hannah, who has two children, said that knowing Lizzie is always there providing continued practical advice and emotional support has helped her to maintain the continuity of family life as her husband’s dementia has changed and progressed.

Jules and Lizzie shared information about the Admiral Nurse Dementia Helpline and explained the services provided by Admiral Nurses in a range of community and clinical settings.
